{"id":2213,"date":"2025-07-02T13:30:36","date_gmt":"2025-07-02T10:30:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uatwc.hobis.gr\/our-competence\/"},"modified":"2025-09-12T17:16:32","modified_gmt":"2025-09-12T14:16:32","slug":"our-competence","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/hobis.gr\/en\/our-competence\/","title":{"rendered":"Our jurisdiction"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The HFO handles complaints submitted by individuals and businesses (with an annual turnover of up to \u20ac3,000,000) free of charge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The HFO deals with disputes relating to the provision of products and services by the following financial institutions established in Greece and participating in its procedure: Banks (both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hba.gr\/en\/Association\/Members?type=RegularMembersEN\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">regular <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hba.gr\/en\/Association\/Members?type=ConnectedMembersen\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">associate <\/a>members of the Hellenic Bank Association), Investment companies (members of the Hellenic Fund and Asset Management Association <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ethe.org.gr\/en\/members\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">(HE.F.A.M.A.<\/a>) and the Association of Members of the Athens Stock Exchange (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.smexa.gr\/%ce%bc%ce%ad%ce%bb%ce%b7-%cf%83%ce%bc%ce%b5%cf%87%ce%b1\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SMEXA<\/a>) and<a href=\"https:\/\/cepal.gr\/?lang=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Credit Servicing Firms<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The HFO handles disputes submitted within one year from the date on which the interested party submitted a relevant complaint to the provider (bank, investment company, credit servicing firm, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The HFO does not handle disputes that are being examined or have been previously examined by a Court or other Alternative Dispute Resolution body. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The HFO may dismiss disputes that are frivolous or vexatious, as well as disputes whose handling would significantly impair its effective functioning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> The HFO does not handle disputes relating to providers\u2019 business policies, such as the amount of expenses, loan application rejection, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It also does not deal with requests for debt settlement.
